The Stone: Moissanite
Moissanite is not a diamond substitute. It is a different gemstone entirely — silicon carbide, first discovered by Henri Moissan in a meteorite crater in 1893. The moissanite in every Myrae piece is lab grown, which gives it consistent quality and a traceable, conflict-free origin.

The refractive index of 2.65 — higher than diamond's 2.42 — means moissanite produces more fire: the rainbow-spectrum light you see when it catches direct sun or warm indoor light. In Indian light, this is vivid. On Indian skin tones set against sterling silver, it reads as a deliberate, informed choice. Because it is.
The Setting: 925 Sterling Silver
Every Myrae piece is set in 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver with a copper alloy for strength. This material choice is intentional:

The Heritage
Myrae was founded by Aaman Shah, whose family has been in jewellery for over 60 years through S.P. Jewellers in Ahmedabad. Three generations of jewellery knowledge inform how every Myrae piece is built.
The brand was started because that same family had no modern answer to a question increasingly asked by urban Indian women: where do I find something brilliant to wear every day, without the anxiety of gold?
